Com o título de "Os 13 países mais saudáveis para viver como um expatriado" a organização InterNations que apoia e estuda pessoas que vivem fora de sua terra natal, completou mais um estudo global a fim de listar os países segundo suas condições de saúde e de bem-estar.

Para tanto, entrevistou 14.300 pessoas de 174 nacionalidades representando 191 países. A matéria abaixo foi originalmente publicada no site AMICOR 21 (Nº 2898) do Prof. Aloyzio Achutti.

Por seu turno, o Instituto de Pesquisas Legatum de Londres publicou em novembro último seu Índice Global de Prosperidade composto por nove subíndices, entre os quais um que categoriza os países em função de seus sistemas de saúde. As dezenove nações com os melhores resultados em termos de organização do setor saúde e das condições de vida e longevidade de seus habitantes são:

Luxemburgo

Cingapura

Suíça

Japão (83,7 anos é a Expectativa de Vida ao Nascer, a mais elevada de todo o mundo)

Áustria

Suécia

Noruega (é o país que mais recursos investe per capita em saúde)

Holanda

Hong Kong (a Expectaviva de Vida ao Nascer de suas mulheres é o mais alto entre todos os grupos na face da Terra)

Austrália

Bélgica (tem sistema de saúde universal com sseguro-saúde obrigatório para todos)

Alemanha (apesar da predileção dos alemães por cervejas e salsichas)

Catar (com sisema universal de saúde recentemente adotado)

Finlândia

Coréia do Sul (Esquema nacional obrigatório de seguro-saúde cobre 97% da população)

Espanha

França (Expectativa de Vida ao Nascer de 83 anos em média)

Reino Unido (apesar das intermináveis discussões internas o National Health System, para todos, permanece como um exemplo de sistema público)

LONDON - When choosing to live abroad, a healthy environment and an affordable and accessible healthcare system will be at the top of the list of things you are looking for.

In a new survey by InterNations, the world's largest network for people who live and work abroad, expats ranked their health and well-being in the countries that they lived or lived in as part of a wider report on the quality of living for those who move abroad.

InterNations asked 14,300 people living overseas, representing 174 nationalities and living in 191 countries or territories, to rate 43 different aspects of life abroad on a scale of 1-7.

One of the sub-indexes was health and well-being and Business Insider took a look at the top 13:

11. New Zealand —Although cost of living is relatively high compared to other counterparts in this ranking, health and well-being is rated excellently, by expats.

10. Spain —Having one of the shortest working weeks in the world, combined with a culture that is famed for its healthy diet and attitude towards dining, helps the nation enter the top 10 for health and well-being.

5. Israel — Expats say that health and well-being in Israel is one of the best across the world but the country is ranked low down in another index for personal safety and security.

4. Japan — "When it comes to the quality of medical care, 82% of expats rate this favourably, compared to 62% worldwide. Around three-quarters (76%) are also pleased with the affordability of healthcare," said InterNations in the survey.
